The Online Diary of a Fat Man

Hi to all and thanks for the very kind words and comments that I am getting at the moment. This weight loss stuff is getting interesting, just the vast number of techniques, and varied ideas on the topic.

I have decided that I am going to go the low carb route and see what results I acheive with this. There are also alot of low carb programes on the market and they seem to say a similar thing. The Atkins approach has been looked upon by may as being a very radical change, then there is the South Seas, the X-Factor and locally we have doctors and pharmacists devising strategies which for all purposes looks like a re-hash of what Dr Robert Atkins spoke of himself.

In my view (and it's only my view), it seems as long as your body is metabolising it's own fat and not muscle, then you have to be losing weight.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Please visit on a regular basis as I will be keeping all up to date with my progress.

Online Diary of a Fat Man

Hi I'm Steve and I have had an ongoing battle with my weight since I traveled the world as a 20 year old.

My current weight today is 150kg or 330 lbs my height is 175cm or 5'7" and I have had enough!!!!

It is simply not fair on those who love me to see me getting around in pain at times, losing my breath, sweating profusely and generally being an unhealthy, obese (I HATE that word) example of a human being.

We all know of the happy go lucky, jolly fat man. Well thats me. The only reason that Santa Clause is still around is because he is fictional (sorry kids). We all loved John Candy, he was a larger than life character in his work and in his size. But alas, he found a way to an early grave due to the largest preventable epidemic that is striking the developed world since the invention of the cigarette.

Obesity is now killing adults 2 years faster than cigarette smoking, and this is not a pro smoking campaign, in fact I gave up that filthy habit 5 years ago, then used that action as an excuse to be bigger. " I'd rather be fat than to smoke.." I remember saying to justify my position.

WHAT A CROCK!!!!!!

"I would rather be alive than dead!!!"

"I would rather be fit and healthy!!!"

So here starts the Diary of a Fat Man. Today is post number one and I would like you to join in and watch what happens.

Over the next few months I am going to endeavor to take you with me on my journey to SLIMDOM. I invite you to join me, cheer me on, feel free to post as much feed back as you warrant I need. My goal is to reach 95 kg or 209 lbs by Christmas 2008.

Well it must be photo timeThat's me with my lovely family, the 3 loves of my life, my little guy Tate, my lovely stepdaughter Shanae and the ever wonderful love of my life Marie.

These are the reasons we have been placed on this earth.

Please take the time to visit regularly, I will see what offers I can sort out also.

Until tomorrow.

With love.

Steve (150kg/33olbs)
